A medicated ghee prepared with Nirgundi root/flower paste and Nirgundi leaf juice, used for wasting, abdominal tumors, pain, cough, hiccup and hemorrhoids.
Nirgundyadi Ghrita — Overview
Nirgundyadi Ghrita is a Nirgundi-based medicated ghee with the Kalka prepared from Nirgundi root or flower along with Amruta (Guduchi), Vrisha (Vasa) and Kantakari. Goghrita is the Sneha Dravya, and the Drava component includes Nirgundi patra Swarasa plus a Kashaya of Chirubilwa, Vidanga, Chitramoola, Himsra, Triphala and Vyosha (Trikatu).
After preparation by standard Ghrita Paka, it is used for Kshaya (wasting/consumption), Gulma (abdominal tumor), Aruchi (anorexia), Soola (colicky pain), Kasa (cough), Hicca (hiccup) and Arshas (hemorrhoids).
