Nilini Choorna — Overview
Nilini Choorna is a short and simple powder combining Nilini, Nichula, Trikatu, the two alkalis (Sarjakshara and Yavakshara), the five salts (Lavana Panchaka), and Chitraka. It is administered internally with ghee.
The formulation is used for abdominal disorders (Udara) and abdominal tumors (Gulma). The same formula is also cited in Charaka Samhita Chikitsa Sthana under the name Nilinyadi Choorna and in Vagbhata Samhita.
