Nellakyadi Choorna
A choorna of Amalaki, Sunthi, Guduchi satwa and Mandura processed with Triphala and Guduchi decoctions, used for pitta disorders.
Nellakyadi Choorna — Overview
Nellakyadi Choorna is an iron-enriched pitta-pacifying powder made from Amalaki, Sunthi, Guduchi satwa, Mandura bhasma and Vamsalochana, each in a one-pala quantity. The powder is steeped in Triphala and Guduchi decoctions and either boiled until the liquid evaporates or sun-dried with the decoctions repeatedly absorbed.
The finished choorna is taken with honey or jaggery and is used specifically for Pitta Vikara — disorders of heat, acidity and bleeding.
