Nalpamaradi Tailam — Overview

Nalpamaradi Tailam is a well-known Kerala formulation prepared with the four Ksheeri Vriksha barks — Vata, Aswattha, Plaksha and Udumbara — along with Triphala, Chandana, Usira, Kushta, Manjishta and Kachora.

The paste is cooked in sesame oil with fresh turmeric decoction and Parpata Kashaya. The oil is applied externally for itching (Kandu), erysipelas (Visarpa) and skin diseases (Kushta).
