Mula Iladi Kashaya

A decoction of bamboo shoots, Jeeraka, Daruharidra leaves and Gunja moola used as external application for intestinal hernia with swelling.

Mula Iladi Kashaya — Overview

Mula Iladi Kashaya uses Vamsa Komala Patra (tender bamboo leaves), Jeeraka yugala (both Jeerakas), Kshemadam, Daruharidra patra, Gunja moola, and Sunthi.

The decoction is used to pound Brihat Vamsa and Punarnava into a paste applied externally. It is indicated in Antravriddhi janya Sodha — swelling arising from intestinal hernia.
