Mayura Ghrita
A medicated ghee prepared with peacock meat soup, used for diseases of the head and neck as internal medicine, nasal drops, enema, and massage.
Mayura Ghritam — Overview
Mayura Ghritam is a specialized medicated ghee prepared with peacock meat soup (Mayura Mamsarasa), explicitly excluding the wings, bile, intestines, feet, feces, and beak. The paste is made of madhura (sweet) group drugs, and the decoction adds Dasamoola, Bala moola, Rasna, Yashtimadhu, and Triphala along with milk.
It is indicated for Urdhwajatrugataroga — diseases of the head and neck — and is used through four routes of administration: Pana (oral), Vasti (enema), Nasya (nasal), and Abhyanga (massage).
