Mahapaisachika Ghrita — Overview
Mahapaisachika Ghrita is a complex paediatric nootropic ghee. Its Kalka Dravya is an extensive list including Jatamamsi (Jatila), Bala Haritaki (Putana), Sugandha Jatamamsi (Kesi), Kapikacchu (Markati), Vacha, Trayamana, Agnimandha (Jaya), Vira, Kachora (Choraka), Katurohini, Haritaki (Kayastha), Varahi (Sukari), Satapushpa (Chatra), Misreya (Atichatra), Laksha (Palamkasha), Maha Satavari (Mahapurusha), Amalaki (Vayastha), Nakuli, Gandha Nakuli, Syonaka (Katambhara), Vrischikali and Saliparni. Cow's ghee is the Sneha Dravya and a kashaya of the Kalka Dravyas serves as the Drava Dravya.
It is indicated as a promoter of Buddhi (wisdom), Medha (intellect) and Smriti (memory), and as a Sareera Vriddhi Karaka — promoter of physical growth and development in children.
