Loha Gudhadi Gutika

An iron-based pill formulation combining Mandura Bhasma, Triphala, and Vata Patra Bhasma used for anemia (Panduroga).

Loha Gudhadi Gutika — Overview

Loha Gudhadi Gutika is a simple iron-based formulation containing Mandura Bhasma (prepared by Bhringaraja Swarasa Bhavana) in 1 part, Triphala Choorna (Vararaja) in 1 part, and Vata patra Bhasma in 2 parts.

The mixture is pounded again with Bhringaraja Swarasa and rolled into pills, administered with Udaswit (buttermilk) in an Aksha Pramana (roughly 12 grams) dose. It is specifically indicated for Panduroga — anemia and iron-deficiency states.
