Laghu Gangadhara Choorna — Overview

Laghu Gangadhara Choorna is a simple six-herb astringent powder made from equal parts of Mustha, Indrayava, Bilwa, Lodhra, Mocharasa and Dhataki Pushpa. All herbs are finely powdered in equal quantities and mixed together.

It is administered internally with takra (buttermilk) and jaggery and is indicated for all types of diarrhea (Sarva Atisara) and dysentery (Pravahika), and also acts as a stool-binding agent (Sangrahi). Though not originally found in Sahasrayoga, the formula is incorporated from later sources such as Bhaishajyaratnavali.
