Ksheerabala Avartana Taila — Overview

Ksheerabala Avartana Taila is a highly refined version of Ksheerabala Taila, processed 100 times (shata avartana) or 1000 times (sahasra avartana) with fresh kalka and drava dravyas at each iteration. Each repetition progressively concentrates the herbal potency while reducing the oil volume.

It is considered a premier rasayana with actions including Vatarakta relief, vata pacification, rejuvenation (Rasayana), sense-organ nourishment, vitality enhancement, nourishment (Brihmana), voice improvement, correction of Sukra and Asrik (blood/semen) disorders, channel purification, snehana (oleation) and blood purification. Classically used after Snehana and Swedana in the management of vata-predominant states and vatarakta.
