Khandasama Choorna — Overview

Khandasama Choorna is a potent herbo-mineral powder. It contains Triphala, Trikatu, Bilwa, Mustha, Pippali moola, Chitraka, cinnamon, cardamom, Tejpatra, Chavika, tamarind and Amlavetasa (16 tola combined), along with Swarnamakshika bhasma (16 tola), Loha bhasma (32 tola) and Khanda Sarkara (64 tola).

It is administered with honey or rolled into pills with honey. Classical indications include skin diseases (Kushta), lethargy, diabetes (Prameha), abdominal disorders (Udara roga), jaundice (Kamala, Halimaka), anemia (Pandu), cough, headache, excessive salivation, loss of appetite, fainting, nausea, low digestive fire, bleeding disorders, erysipelas and edema.
