Karpooradi Choorna — Overview
Karpooradi Choorna is a highly aromatic multi-herb powder headed by Karpura (camphor), along with Jatiphala (nutmeg), Jatipatri, Devadaru, Yashtimadhu (licorice), Sunthi (dry ginger), Jeeraka (cumin), Ela (cardamom), Kasturi, Pippali, Guduchi, Lodhra Pushpa, Maricha, Dalchini (cinnamon), Twak, Akarakarabha, Bhringaraja, Lavanga (clove), Mustha, Usira, Patha, Kushta, Krishnaguru, and Rasna, all taken in equal parts.
The powder is administered internally with sugar or honey. It is indicated in a wide range of conditions including Vataja Soola (vata-type colic), Parswa Soola (flank pain), Hicca (hiccups), Vamana (vomiting), Kasa (cough), Hridroga (heart disease), pitta disorders, Gulma (abdominal tumor), kapha disorders, general pain, and Pandu (anemia).
