Karpasasthyadi Taila
A medicated oil with Karpasasthi and Bala used orally, nasally and as massage for all Vata disorders, especially frozen shoulder, hemiplegia and facial paralysis.
Karpasasthyadi Taila — Overview
Karpasasthyadi Taila uses a Kalka of Devadaru, Bala, Rasna, Kushta, Sarshapa, Sunthi, Satahwa, Pippali moola, Chavya, Sigru and Punarnava, cooked with a decoction of cotton seeds (Karpasasthi), Bala roots, Masha and Kulattha along with goat's milk.
It is used internally (Pana), nasally (Navana) and as massage (Abhyanga) for all Vata disorders, especially Apabahuka (frozen shoulder), Pakshaghata (hemiplegia) and Ardita (facial paralysis).
