Karaskara Ghrita

A medicated ghee made with Kuchala (Nux vomica) and supportive herbs, used for inflammation, joint pain, and gout.

Karaskara Ghrita — Overview

Karaskara Ghrita is a medicated ghee whose key ingredient is Shuddha Kuchala (purified Strychnos nux-vomica), combined with Draksha, Yashti, and Kadali phala as paste. The liquid medium is a four-fold Kala Ikshu (black sugarcane) and Bala root decoction, with added cow's milk.

It is used for conditions of inflammation and musculoskeletal pain — Sodha (swelling), Daha (burning), Sandhi Pida (joint pain), and Vatarakta (gout).
