Kanakasundara Rasa — Overview
Kanakasundara Rasa is a mercurial pill used for digestive disorders including malabsorption (Grahani), ama-type colic (Ama Soola), anorexia (Aruchi), weak digestive fire (Agnimandya), fever, and diarrhea. It contains Hingula, Maricha, Gandham (Gandhaka), Pippali, Tankana, Visha (Vatsanabhi), and Hema bija (Dhattura bija) in equal parts.
The ingredients are pounded with Vijaya (Bhanga) Patra Swarasa and formed into pills the size of a Chana (chickpea). During treatment, curd rice is recommended while buttermilk should be avoided.
