Kakamachyadi Ghrita
A medicated ghee prepared with Yashtimadhu paste and Kakamachi leaf juice, used for loss of voice (Swarabhanga).
Kakamachyadi Ghrita — Overview
Kakamachyadi Ghrita is a simple medicated ghee from the Ghrita Prakarana. The Kalka is 1 pala of Yashtimadhu, the Sneha Dravya is 4 pala of Taila or Ghrita, and the Drava Dravya is 1 prastha of Kakamachi (Solanum nigrum) leaf juice.
Prepared by the standard Ghrita Paka procedure, it is specifically indicated for Swarabhanga (loss of voice / hoarseness), acting as a soothing demulcent for the throat and vocal apparatus.
