A classical Guggulu pill formulation with Triphala, Guduchi, Trikatu, Vidanga, Danti and Trivrit used for gout, skin diseases, wounds, and inflammatory conditions.
Kaisora Guggulu — Overview
Kaisora Guggulu is a classical Guggulu pill formulation prepared by first boiling Triphala (3 prastha), Guduchi (1 prastha) in 1½ drona of water reduced to half, then adding Suddha Guggulu (1 prastha) and cooking to paka. Further additions include Triphala (2 pala), Guduchi (1 pala), Tryushana (6 pala), Vidanga (½ pala), Danti (1 karsha) and Trivrit (1 karsha). Pills are rolled to the size of a Chana (chickpea) and administered with lukewarm water, milk, or Manjishtadi kwatha.
It is a premier remedy for all types of skin diseases, tridoshic Vatarakta (gout), all kinds of wounds, abdominal tumor, Prameha Pitika (diabetic carbuncles), diabetic disorders, abdominal disorders, weak digestion, cough, edema and anemia. In eye diseases it is given with Vasadi Kashaya, in Gulma with Varunadi Kashaya, and in Vrana and Kushta with Khadiradi Kashaya. During treatment, sour, pungent, indigestible foods, exertion, sun exposure, alcohol and anger should be avoided.
