Kacchuradi Taila — Overview
Kacchuradi Taila is a specialized dermatological oil. Its Kalka contains Kushta, Triphala, Kumkuma, Mustha, and Manjishta — one pala each — in one prastha of sesame oil. The liquid phase uses four prastha of the fresh juices of Kacchura, Dhattura, Rajatari, Maricha, Indravaruni, Saireyaka, Bala, Bharangi, Ikshwaku root, Haridra, Hariparnika, Snuhi, Arka, Aragwadha, Karpasa, Apamarga, Ketaki, Tulasi, Ashoka, Dronapushpi, and Nimba.
A Chaturdhamsa Kashaya is also prepared from Arka, Arkavalli, Agada, Pancha Mahiruha, Aksha, Abhaya, Amalaka, Haridra, and Daruharidra (one pala each in eight times water). The finished oil is used strictly for external application in Sarva Kushta (all skin diseases) and Kshaya (wasting).
