Jatyadi Ghrita — Overview
Jatyadi Ghrita is a celebrated wound-healing medicated ghee. The Kalka Dravya is Jati (jasmine), Palasa (Kimsuka), Parpataka, Karavella (Sushavi), Apamarga (Mayurika), Bhadrika, Nirgundi, Mridu kunchiki, Katuki, Durva and Haridra (Nisa), and the Drava Dravya is a kashaya of the same herbs or of Yashti.
It is indicated in Nadivrana (sinus or tract wounds), Marmasrita Vrana (wounds at vital points), and Gambhira & Vedanayukta Vrana (deep and painful ulcers). It remains one of the most widely used classical topical applications for chronic non-healing wounds and ulcers.
