Ikshu Durvadi Ghrita
A cooling medicated ghee prepared with sugarcane, durva grass and pitta-pacifying herbs, primarily used for bleeding disorders.
Ikshu Doorvadi Ghrita — Overview
Ikshu Doorvadi Ghrita is a cooling, pitta-pacifying medicated ghee. Its Kalka contains Chaturjata, buds of the Pancha Ksheeri Vriksha, Mustha, Balaka, Sariba, Usira, Yashtimadhu, sugar, Chandana and Sweta Kushta. The Drava Dravya is the swarasa of Ikshu (sugarcane), Durva, Guduchi, Amalaki, Gokshura and Jala Changeri, combined with coconut water and milk, prepared with Ghrita.
It is specifically indicated in Raktapitta (bleeding disorders and hemorrhagic conditions driven by aggravated pitta).
