Hingu Twagadi Choorna — Overview

Hingu Twagadi Choorna is a specially prepared powder of Hingu, Dalchini, Sunthi, Chavya, Maricha, Ela, Kalajira, Chitraka, Jeeraka, Pippali moola and Ajamoda (1 karsha each) with Pippali choorna (4 karsha) and Saindhavalavana (32 karsha).

The powder is placed inside a hollowed coconut sealed with mud-smeared cloth, and then subjected to paka with Putikaranja firewood; the resulting drug is collected carefully and administered with honey and ghee according to desa and kala. It is indicated for Udara Soola — severe abdominal pain.
