Grahanyantaka Ghrita
A digestive medicated ghee formulated with Panchakola and pungent herbs to kindle digestive fire and treat malabsorption and abdominal tumors.
Grahanyantaka Ghrita — Overview
Grahanyantaka Ghrita is a digestive medicated ghee whose name literally means “destroyer of Grahani (malabsorption).” The Kalka Dravya combines Saindhava (rock salt), Panchakola, Vatsanabhi (purified), Sarjakshara and Yavakshara (two alkalis), Hingu, Musthaka, Jeeraka, Krishna Jeeraka and Yavani — a potent carminative, deepana and pachana mix. Cow's ghee is the base, with kashaya of Patha, Chavya, Karanja, Sarapunkha, Chitraka, Mustha and Sunthi plus goat's curd, ginger juice and Changeri juice as the Drava Dravyas.
It kindles Agni (digestive fire) and is specifically indicated in Gulma (abdominal tumors or gaseous distension) and Grahani (malabsorption syndrome / IBS-type disorders).
