Dashamooladi Lehya
A lehya made from ashed Dasamoola, Trivrit, Patha and other herbs combined with jaggery, indicated for abdominal tumors, spleen disorders and hemorrhoids.
Dasamooladi Lehya — Overview
Dasamooladi Lehya is an unusual preparation in which Dasamoola, Trivrit, Patha, Raja Patha, Arka, Ativisha and Katphala are first reduced to ash by burning in earthenware. The ash is then decocted with water to make a chaturdhavasishta kashaya, combined with one tulaa of jaggery, and cooked into a lehya with Trikatu, Chavya, Haritaki, Chitraka and Yavakshara as prakshepa.
The formulation is indicated for abdominal tumors (gulma), spleen enlargement (pleeha), hemorrhoids, skin diseases, urinary disorders and weak digestion.
