Dasamoola Vrishadi Kashaya — Overview

Dasamoola Vrishadi Kashaya is a simple decoction prepared from Dasamoola (the ten roots), Vasa (Adhatoda vasica), Sunthi (dry ginger) and Jeeraka (cumin). It is described in the Parisishta (supplementary) section of the Sahasra Yoga.

Its actions are Jwaranasaka (fever-reducing) and Deepana (appetite-kindling), and it is indicated in fevers arising from all three doshas — Vata, Pitta, and Kapha (Sleshma) Jwara.
