Chinchadi Lehyam — Overview

Chinchadi Lehyam is a digestive and blood-building electuary prepared with old tamarind, aged jaggery, Loha Bhasma, Kitta, Bilwa, Vidanga, Tryushana (Trikatu), Triphala, both Jeerakas, Trijataka, Yashti, Rasna and Jatiphala. The powders are mixed and preserved in a fresh container.

It is administered with honey or buttermilk and is indicated as a Deepana (digestive stimulant) in Pandu (anemia), Kamala (jaundice), Daha (burning sensation), Trishna (excessive thirst), Amlapitta (acid reflux), Swasa Dourgandhya, Vataroga and Purana Jwara (chronic fever).
