Chandabhaskara Rasa — Overview

Chandabhaskara Rasa is a mercurial pill preparation indicated for a wide range of disorders including anemia (Pandu), edema (Sopha), abdominal distension and tumors (Udavarta, Gulma), splenic disorders (Pleeha), rectal disorders (Gudaroga), worm infestation (Krimi), indigestion (Ajirna, Ama Soola), chronic fever (Purana Jwara), urinary disorders (Prameha, Mutrakricchra, Ashmari), and wounds (Vrana).

It contains Hara Bija (Parada, 1 part), Amrita (Vatsanabhi, 1 part), Bali (Gandhaka, 1 part), Tankana (10 parts), and Jambala (Jaipala, 20 parts). The ingredients are pounded with Nirgundi Swarasa and formed into pills the size of one Masha, administered internally with jaggery.
