Bilwadi Kashaya

A decoction of Bilwa moola prepared with milk and converted into Manda with Laja and Jeeraka for vomiting.

Bilwadi Kashaya — Overview

Bilwadi Kashaya uses Bilwa moola (1 pala) in 1½ serlu of water prepared as a Chaturdhamsa Kashaya. Half the quantity of milk is then added and the combined liquid reduced to half the total volume.

The result is further processed into a Manda by adding Laja Choorna and Jeeraka. It is indicated for Chardi (vomiting).
