Ayaskantadi Choorna — Overview
Ayaskantadi Choorna is a mineral-rich preparation containing Ayaskantha (lodestone), Loha bhasma, Mandura bhasma, Bhallataka, Vidanga, Tuvaraka, Langali and Triphala. The powdered herbs are repeatedly steeped in decoctions of Khadira, Asana and Devadaru, along with cow's urine and Bhringaraja juice.
It is administered with ghee and honey, after which the patient is advised to take a milk diet. This choorna is indicated for the eighteen types of skin diseases (Kushta) and hemorrhoids (Arshas).
