Ashta Churna

An eight-ingredient digestive powder of Trikatu, Ajamoda, rock salt, two types of cumin and Hingu used for low digestive fire and Vata-type abdominal tumors.

Ashta Choorna — Overview

Ashta Choorna literally means "eight-drug powder." It is prepared from equal parts of Trikatu (Sunthi, Pippali, Maricha — counted as three), Ajamoda, Saindhava (rock salt), Jeeraka, Krishna Jeeraka and Hingu.

It is taken with the first morsel of food along with ghee and is indicated for Agnimandya (low digestive fire) and Vata Gulma (Vata-predominant abdominal tumors and colic).
