Antrakuthara Rasa — Overview
Antrakuthara Rasa is a mercurial pill formulation containing Hingula (cinnabar), Haritaki, Hingu (asafoetida), Saindhava salt, Tankana, Vacha, Yavakshara, Kuberaksha seeds, and Lasuna (garlic) in equal parts with Jaipala seeds equal to the total, pounded with Nirgundi juice.
It is particularly effective for intestinal hernia (Antra Vriddhi), upward movement of vata (Udavarta), all types of colic (Sarva Sool), constipation (Vibandha), hemorrhoids, abdominal tumors, and abdominal swelling. It is especially renowned as an antispasmodic (Antra Soolanasaka).
