Ankoladi Taila

A medicated oil with Ankola seeds and Maricha used as scalp massage for scalp skin infections.

Ankoladi Taila — Overview

Ankoladi Taila is prepared with a Kalka of Ankola seed, Maricha and Kushta — one pala each — and cooked in sesame oil with Vakula leaf juice and Jambeera (lemon) leaf or fruit juice, one adhaka of each, as Drava Dravyas.

It is used as Siro-Abhyanga (scalp massage) and indicated specifically for Siro-Kushta — scalp skin infections including fungal and eczematous conditions.
