Medicated oil prepared in coconut or sesame oil with Guduchi, Vasa, Nirgundi, and Bhringaraja juices, indicated in all types of cough and asthma.

Amrutadi Taila — Overview

Amrutadi Taila is a respiratory formulation prepared with a Kalka of Jata, Kushta, Sariba, Devadaru, Chandana, Abhaya, Rohini, Laksha, Yashtimadhu, and Sarjarasa in either coconut oil or sesame oil. The liquid vehicles are the fresh juices of Guduchi (Amruta), Vasa, Nirgundi, Bhringaraja, Pashanabheda, Aileyaka, and tender Amlavetasa leaves.

It is indicated in Sarva Kasa (all types of cough) and Swasa (asthma), combining expectorant, anti-inflammatory, and bronchodilatory herbs in a lipid base suited for chest application or internal administration.
