Khamala: Waste Products of Muscle Tissue
Khamala is the mala (waste byproduct) of mamsa dhatu (muscle tissue). It includes earwax, nasal crust, and smegma. When the agni of mamsa dhatu is low, there is increased production of khamala, indicating impaired muscle tissue metabolism.
