Overview
Vishalaa is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for inflammation. Vishalaa (Trichosanthes palmata) is a large-fruited creeper described among the cucurbit family. It is used as a purgative herb and is helpful in reducing swelling and fevers. The fruit and root are the medicinal parts used. Verse ref: page 405.
