Overview

Shankhpushpi variety is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for brain fog & memory. Canscora decussata is another plant used as Shankhapushpi in some regions. It is found at altitudes up to 4000 feet. Some scholars consider this to be the true Shankhapushpi. Its flowers are also conch-shell shaped. Used for similar brain-tonic purposes as other Shankhapushpi varieties. The whole plant is used. Dose: Kvatha 5-15 tola. Verse reference: 269-270.
