Overview
Barhal is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for parasites and worms. Lakucha (Monkey Jack) is a medium to large tree related to Jackfruit. The tree grows up to 20 feet and the fruit is much smaller than Jackfruit. The fruit is sour-astringent. The bark contains tannin and is used in skin diseases. The heartwood extract is a potent anthelmintic, particularly against tapeworm. Dose: Bark decoction 1-2 tola. Verse: 6.
