Overview

Sindoor is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for parasites and worms. Sindura (Red Lead) is a compound of lead. It is used primarily externally in wound healing and skin diseases. Internal use requires extreme caution due to lead toxicity. It is also used as a cosmetic (vermilion). Verses: 149.
