Overview

Surma is one of the herbs traditionally used in Ayurveda for eye disorders. Sauviranjana/Surma is a mineral preparation used as eye collyrium (Anjana). It is applied in the eyes to improve vision, treat eye diseases, and as a cosmetic. Various types of Anjana (collyrium) are described including Rasanjana, Pushpanjana, and Srotanjana. Verses: 146-148.
