Vari Karimbadi Kashaya

A decoction prepared with Satavari, Ikshu, Amalaka and related herbs used for loss of appetite (Aruchi).

Vari Karimbadi Kashaya — Overview

Vari Karimbadi Kashaya is prepared from two alternative groups of herbs. The first uses Satavari, Ikshu (sugarcane), Amalaka, Vidari, Changeri, and fresh ginger (Ardraka). The second substitutes Saliparni, Apamarga, Yavasa, and Chitraka.

Both decoctions are indicated for Aruchi (loss of taste and appetite), a common complaint linked to poor digestion and convalescence.
