Sila Kashaya
A preparation made by repeatedly immersing red-hot stone in water, used for dryness of mouth and tongue.
Sila Kashaya — Overview
Sila Kashaya is an unusual preparation that uses no botanicals at all. A stone is heated until red-hot and then quenched in water; the process is repeated until the water reduces to half.
The resulting mineral-infused water is given with parched rice (Laja), honey, and sugar, and is indicated for Mukha Sosha (dryness of mouth) and Jihwa Sosha (dryness of the tongue).
