Setubandha Matra — Overview
Setubandha Matra combines Jatiphala, Ativisha, Bilwa phala, Ajamoda, Chutasthi (mango seed), Dadima, Yavani, Lavanga, Pippali, and Jambwasthi (jambu seed) — each in one part. The drugs are pounded with Lasuna Taila (garlic oil) and rolled into pills of Badara Phala (jujube fruit) dose, administered with Takra (buttermilk).
It is traditionally indicated for Atisara (diarrhea), Udara Soola (abdominal pain or colic), and Grahani (malabsorption/sprue syndrome) — a classical triad of digestive and bowel disorders.
