Sheeta Jwarahara Kashaya
A group of decoction formulas for cold/intermittent fevers (Seeta Jwara), including preparations with Bilwa, Lasuna, Orange, Guduchi, Chandana, Usira and Sahadevi.
Seeta Jwarahara Kashaya — Overview
Seeta Jwarahara Kashaya refers to a group of decoctions for Seeta Jwara — fevers with marked chills and kapha dominance — and for Vishamajwara (intermittent fever). The first formula uses Lakucha leaves, Bilwa leaves, Lasuna (garlic), unripe orange fruit (Naranga Salatu) and orange leaves, given internally for three days.
A second formula combines Vishnukrantha, Guduchi (Amruta), Mustha, Chandana, Usira, Sariba, Sahadevi and Pippali, offering diaphoretic action suited to chill-type fevers. A third formula uses Aranya Tulasi root, Vishnukrantha and Sunthi for intermittent fevers with cold features.
