Mutrakricchrahara Kashaya

A group of decoctions for painful urination (dysuria), hematuria, and all types of urinary disorders.

Mutrakricchrahara Kashaya — Overview

Mutrakricchrahara Kashaya is a group of decoctions indicated for Mutrakricchra (dysuria, painful urination) and related urinary disorders. The first formula combines Dasamoola, Bala root, Draksha, Yashtimadhu, and Chandana. A second preparation is Satavari Ksheera paka made with Satavari (5 tola), milk (10 tola), and water (40 tola) — taken with sugar for dysuria, or with honey for Madhumeha (diabetic urinary symptoms).

Further formulas include Kantakari, Gokshura, Matsyakshi, Padma, Pashanabheda, Kataka, Satavari, Vasuka, and Hribera — processed with milk and taken with sugar for all types of dysuria and hematuria. Another combines Haritaki, Gokshura, Aragwadha, Dhanvayasa, and Lodhra, taken with honey and sugar for dysuria with burning pain. A simpler formula uses Satavari, Vidari, Gokshura, Mustha, and Sariba. A final formula uses Brihatyadi gana drugs with double the quantity of Gokshura, prepared as decoction or processed with milk or ghee for all types of urinary disorders.
