Mamsa Sarpi

A medicated ghrita prepared with Jeevaniya gana herbs and goat meat decoction, used for vata-pitta disorders and respiratory conditions.

Mamsa Sarpi — Overview

Mamsa Sarpi is a medicated ghee from the Parisishta section of Sahasrayoga. It is prepared by cooking Goghrita (cow's ghee) with a paste of the Jeevaniya gana herbs, using an eight-fold decoction of goat meat (Aja Mamsa) as the liquid medium.

Because it combines the nourishing qualities of ghee with the tissue-building action of meat broth and life-promoting herbs, it is used in conditions of depletion and respiratory weakness — including Vata-Pitta disorders, asthma (Swasa), cough (Kasa), hoarseness (Swarabhanga), wasting (Sosha), and flank pain (Parswa Soola).
