Kutajadyavalehya — Overview
Kutajadyavalehya is a Kutaja-bark based electuary prepared by decocting one tulaa of Kutaja Twak in one drona of water reduced to one-fourth, combining with thirty pala of jaggery and sixteen tola of ghee, and cooking into a lehya paka.
The prakshepa dravya includes Rasanjana, Mocharasa, Trikatu, Triphala, Lajjalu, Chitraka, Patha, Bilwa, Indrayava, Vacha, Bhallataka, Prativisha, Vidanga and Balaka (one pala each). Grounded in the classical antidiarrheal properties of Kutaja, it is used primarily for diarrhea and related digestive disorders.
