Indukantha Ghrita

A medicated ghee prepared with Shatpala Kalka and Dasamoola decoction, used for recurrent fever, vata disorders, and wasting.

Indukantha Ghrita — Overview

Indukantha Ghrita uses the classical Shatpala Kalka — Pippali, Pippali moola, Chavya, Chitraka, Sunthi and Saindhavalavana (or Yavakshara) — as its paste. The Drava Dravya comprises Putika (Puti Karanja), Devadaru, Dasamoola Kashaya and milk, combined with Ghrita.

It is indicated in Vataroga, Kshaya (wasting), Mahodara (gross abdominal enlargement), Gulma, Shoola (abdominal pain) and Nimnonnata Jwara (recurrent fever), and also acts as a Balya (strength-promoting) tonic.
