Gaganeswara Rasa

A mercurial pill attributed to Lord Bhaskara, used in asthma, cough, sinusitis and hyperacidity.

Gaganeswara Rasa — Overview

Gaganeswara Rasa is a classical mercurial pill traditionally attributed to Lord Bhaskara. It is indicated for asthma, cough, sinusitis (Pinasa), weak digestion, Vata disorders, and hyperacidity (Amlapitta).

It contains Abhraka, Vatsanabha, Loha Bhasma, Gandhaka, Suddha Suta (Parada), Kana (Pippali), and Sunthi — one part each. The drugs are pounded with fresh ginger juice for three days and formed into pills the size of two Masha, administered internally with honey.
